Biography
Harrison Chiang is a rising young composer and well-versed instrumentalist from Corona, CA. He graduated from Santiago High School and is currently studying Music Composition at the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California. As an instrumentalist, he primarily performs on bass trombone and tuba, but has a love for low clarinets and has performed extensively on alto, bass, and contrabass clarinets.
He has composed numerous works for wind bands, as well as chamber and solo pieces, along with arrangements for marching band and clarinet choir. His works have been praised for their intriguing use of instrumentation and colorful tonal language. As a composer, Harrison hopes to help elevate the status of wind band music throughout his career and to enrich the ever-growing repertoire of band music.
